Fun with Pixie

Hi 'Reeses Fans!

I have just got in from my walk with Daddy. We went out to see what is new, and see who else was out playing tonite.

I saw my friend Pixie with her Mommy, and Pixie and I got to play and have lots of sniffs together.

Pixie and I got to run and sniff, and Daddy and Pixies Mommy got to run with us!

I also got to play with some new friends, and my good friends Winston and Chadwick.

Such a fun time, and then when we got home. Daddy swam in the pool, and I got to run up and down the side with him, barking encouragment for Daddy to swim faster.

Time to play with brown dog now. so I'll write more tomorrow...

New Puppy Cut

Hi 'Reeses Fans!

How was your weekend? I had a busy weekend, starting with a Spa day at Pet Splash on Saturday. My personal Spa Lady, Lou, made sure I had all the special puppy treatments, and when I was done I looked so good, every one wanted to stroke me and say hello.

When I got home, I ran around for a minute, then had a well deserved nap. Daddy and I had our walk later that evening, and everyone who saw me thought I looked extra cute!

Today I helped Daddy get coffee for Mommy this morning, and have been making sure Mommy and Daddy are OK all day.

We now have a new fountain in the sitting area out back in 'Reeses Realm. It is a lion head fountain, and it is very relaxing to sit out by it. At night it is lit up, and looks more like a lighted waterfall. It is very relaxing to be around. Check out my pix and see for yourself.

Fun with Kaleal, Haley and Donovan

Hi 'Reeses fans!!

I'm sure you've all been wondering where I have been for the last week or so....


Well, last week Kaleal, Haley, Donovan and my Grannie can to visit for the week.

Wow!! Such a fun time, and soooo tiring!

I hardly had time for a nap while everyone was here, and then I helped Mommy take everyone home again on the weekend.

I was so tired, I slept a lot on the drive back with everyone, and again on the drive home with Mommy.

I think I slept all day Monday and Tuesday (between patrols and checking in on Command Central) catching up! I didn't even go on very long walks with Daddy as I was soo tired.

I am feeling a lot more energetic now, and will be able to keep my blog up to date.

Puppies Help Children Learn to read

Reading Assistant

Pets can help children improve their reading skills.

The R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program pairs specially trained therapy dogs with children who are struggling with reading skills. The dog serves as an audience as the child reads aloud. Dog owners volunteer to take their trained dogs to schools and libraries throughout the U.S. and Canada. Contact your local R.E.A.D. organization to participate, or try this read-aloud approach at home.

Wow!! Such wonderful puppies sitting there helping children to read. I try and do that but I get so excited, my mind wanders and I am off to play with a toy somewhere, or check out a sound I heard.

I am working on sitting and listening better though... A cookie or treat at the end of the book certainly makes it easier to sit still and listen right up to the end!
