Guard Dogging

I am a busy puppy when Mommy and Daddy are out. I guard the house and Reeses Realm. I spend a lot of time in "Command Central" watching over the activities in Reeses Realm.

When I am not patrolling the area, I watch for strange activities from Command Central. Some people think I am sleeping when I am in Command Central, but as you can see, I have lots to look at and do when I am in there. Sometimes I will also check for "pin holes in my eyelids". This is a difficult and important task, and I have to check every day.

Have to run now, time to do a quick patrol around the Realm before I complete another pin hole check of my eyelids.

Wow, What a Weekend

Hi Reeses fans! How was your weekend?

I had a great time! I was in charge of Car Rides, except when Mommy wouldn't let me go!

I was a good "Snak-Vac" too! Mommy accidently knocked the cookie box over, and cookie pieces spilled all over the floor. Mommy tried to get them all, but I helped her a LOT by "snak-vacing" as many pieces as I could.

I also helped Daddy deliver a birthday gift to Judy. Judy lives with Jack the Yellow Lab and Kelly the Pekinese. They love it when I come to visit. We all have fun together, and try not to bump into too many things. Jacks tail sometimes even knocks things off the coffee table, and Jim doesn't really like that a lot!!!!!

I got to ride to Judys without my car seat as it was just a short Car Ride. I got to sit in the big seat like Mommy and Daddy. It is harder to look out of the window without my car seat, but we had the top down so I could see up too!

Me n Brown Dog played "Catch' with Daddy for a while when we got back.

Mommy and Daddy also put new carpet in my bedroom for me. It is nice n soft, kinda like the carpet in Mommy and Daddys bedroom. I like sleeping on my new carpet.

New Zealand Dogs shouldn't be the only Voters

Well who would have thought! I am sure I would be a wonderful voter. I know how to vote with my paws, and am ready to do my duty as a Canine American!

I wonder if Daddy and Mommy will let me register to vote? I am trying to get Daddy to let me get a temporary drivers permit so I can try my paw at driving, but he thinks my attention span is a little short yet..... :-)

Dog Registers to Vote in New Zealand

WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- It was almost inevitable New Zealand's election would turn into a dog fight when you look at one of the country's 2.83 million voters -- Toby the Jack Russell terrier.

Toby became a registered voter when his owner, Peter Rhodes of Queenstown, completed an enrollment form in the dog's name, giving his occupation as "rodent exterminator" and his age as 28.

He signed the form with a squiggle and Toby's paw print before returning it to the Electoral Enrollment Center, the Otago Daily Times reported.

Rhodes, an aviation safety specialist who said he was making a humorous point about local government bureaucracy, was shocked to receive written confirmation of Toby's enrollment in the Otago electorate on New Zealand's South Island.

Voting is not compulsory in New Zealand and Rhodes said Toby had elected not to vote.

"The only roll he's interested in is a dog roll, not the electoral roll," Rhodes told the paper.

Electoral Enrollment Center manager Murray Wicks was more angry than amused that an application filed by a dog had slipped through the center's checking system.

"It's an offense, and whoever's done it will be in the hands of the police," he said.

Wicks said Rhodes could be charged with misleading a registrar of electors, making a fraudulent enrollment and making a false declaration, "to name a few" possible charges.

The outcome of the election remained in the balance Friday. The ruling Labour Party holds a one-seat, election-night majority over the opposition National Party pending coalition talks and the counting of absentee ballots, but neither of the major parties has an outright majority.

Lots of Fun

Hi,

I had a busy evening yesterday. When Daddy got home, I made sure he was welcomed back, and I was so happy to see him.

I hepled Daddy get ready for dinner, and then I reminded him it was 5:30 and time to go get Mommy from work.

I love going to get Mommy, and when Mommy got out from work, she was sooooo happy to see me. I was wagging my tail as I was excited to see her too.

Daddy and I took Mommy to the gym, and we went home to make dinner. I am Daddys' sous chef, and it is my job to make sure any food that may drop gets eaten up right away!

After dinner for Daddy and Cedric, it was time to go get Mommy from the gym. This was another ride, with the top down so I could see everything that I was passing.

Once we got home, I made sure Mommy didn't forget to give me my cookie. Then I had to remind Daddy that it was past time for our walk. Sometimes Daddy forgets the time, but I remind him when he does.

I didn't meet any new people on my walk, but we "zoomed" around and that tired both of us out!

Tropical Storm/Hurricane Rita

TS/Hurricane Rita is here today. It is dark, rainy and windy. A sleep in the bed day....


Daddy is home as it is too dangerous to drive to Miami to work, and Miami is under a flood warning anyway....

Mommy was made to go to work by Kaplan. I hope she is ok, and gets home safe in the nasty weather.

I have been sleeping under the bed as it is the best thing to do in this stormy weather.

Daddy got gas for the generator yesterday so if the power goes out we will have cold refridgerators, a fan or two, lights and can watch movies.

Visit to Grannies and Color Of Love Photo Shoot

Hi 'Reeses fans!

I had a busy weekend. Daddy and Mommy took me to see my Granny in Sanford, and I also got to see my new Nephew Donovan, who was born on September 13.

I thought he was cute, and I also got to play with my friend Cody Cat. We had LOTS of fun running around the house together.

I also got to model at a photo shoot for Mommy's company Color of Love at a photo shoot she was having on the St Johns River in Downtown Sanford. I'll be putting up my pictures once Mommy gets them back from Lisa, the nice photographer.

I had such a lot of fun posing for Lisa, and also meeting all the other models who came to see me at the shoot!

I also got to stay at the Hilton Homewood Suites Hotel in Maitland. My first Hotel Stay. Mommy and Daddy brought my chair for me to sleep in, so I was very comfortable.

I got take take my first elevator ride. It was different.... All the hotel people were very nice to me. I liked staying there.

I was so busy during my trip, that I slept most of the way home. I kept my brother Cedric company while he was sleeping for part of the ride too. Daddy was so good, he drove all the way.

'Reeses Rides

My latest news is 'Reeses Rides. Daddy and I go for car rides, and I ride "Shotgun".

Yesterday we went and got Mommy from work.

The sun was shining into the car, and I didn't like that. Daddy had to put on the a/c for me, but I still got to "hang" out of the window and get a good "sniff" of all the places we drove past.


Mommy let me sit on her lap and shaded my eyes from the sun on the way home.

Once we got home, I made sure Mommy and Daddy didn't forget it was time for my cookie!
